മാവോയിസ്റ്റുകൾക്ക് നേരെ കേരളാ പൊലീസും തണ്ടർബോൾട്ടും നടത്തിയ ഏറ്റുമുട്ടലുകളിൽ 2016 ന് ശേഷം എട്ട് പേരാണ് കേരളത്തിൽ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടത്. സ്വയരക്ഷയുടെ പേരിൽ കേരളാ പൊലീസ് നടത്തിയ ഈ കൊലപാതകങ്ങൾ സത്യസന്ധമായി അന്വേഷിക്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് മനുഷ്യാവകാശ പ്രവർത്തകനായ ഗ്രോ വാസു ജാമ്യം നിഷേധിച്ച് 45 ദിവസം ജയിലിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞു. നിയമപാലനത്തിനും കുറ്റാന്വേഷണത്തിനും മാത്രം അധികാരമുള്ള പൊലീസ് ശിക്ഷ നടപ്പിലാക്കുമ്പോൾ മൗലികമായ മനുഷ്യാവകാശങ്ങളാണ് ലംഘിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്.
